A FEW WORDS ABOUT
DONY SEAS
THE MENTOR
Born in Cuba, where tattooing was once restricted and difficult to access, Dony Seas developed his craft under limitations that shaped both his discipline and perspective. What began as drawing in secrecy evolved into a long-term pursuit of mastering form, composition, and meaning.
After acquiring his first professional tattoo machine at 23, his work transitioned from experimentation to structure. Today, based in Los Angeles, he specializes in Black and Grey realism, integrating classical influence, abstract composition, and a refined 3D design methodology.
Over the past years, his focus has shifted toward large-scale projects — full sleeves, full backs, and body compositions designed as complete visual systems rather than individual tattoos.
Each piece is developed in 3D before the tattooing process begins, allowing the collector to understand the full concept, flow, and placement in advance. This approach eliminates improvisation and ensures that every element serves a purpose within the composition.
Beyond his personal work, Dony Seas mentors a select group of artists inside a private community, where he teaches the same 3D design methodology used in his large-scale projects. His role extends beyond execution — shaping the next generation of tattoo artists who seek to move from improvisation to intentional design.
Commissions & Collaborations
A limited number of custom projects are accepted each year. Commissions are developed based on concept, scale, and alignment with the artist’s direction. Dony Seas also collaborates with selected artists and studios on large-scale projects, bringing his design methodology into different creative environments. For serious inquiries, collectors are required to begin with a consultation before entering the design process.
